Job Description
Seeking a Right-of-Way Agent with 5+ years of midstream energy experience to support land and right-of-way activities related to integrity, corrosion, operations, and maintenance projects. This role is responsible for coordinating with landowners and stakeholders, securing access and temporary workspace agreements, negotiating real property agreements, supporting permitting efforts, and resolving land-related issues across an assigned operating area.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting pipeline integrity and maintenance programs, a strong understanding of easement rights and title documentation, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Candidates should be proficient with GIS platforms, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and online research tools commonly used in land and right-of-way operations.
This is a full-time, onsite position based in Houston, Texas. Parking reimbursement is available, and no company vehicle is required for this role.
- Support landowners and local stakeholders on land and right-of-way projects within an assigned territory
- Develop access, temporary workspace, and notification plans for integrity and corrosion projects
- Research and prepare reports related to easement rights, title updates, and landowner claims
- Prepare and negotiate easements, licenses, permits, and other real property agreements
- Obtain permits and approvals from private, local, state, and federal agencies
- Investigate, negotiate, and resolve property damage claims
- Coordinate with operations, engineering, project management, and land teams
- Maintain project documentation and land records
- Support ongoing operations and maintenance-related land activities
- Work independently with minimal guidance from Land Management
- 5+ years of midstream energy and right-of-way experience
- Experience supporting integrity, corrosion, operations, or maintenance projects
- Experience negotiating easements, permits, licenses, and real property agreements
- Experience working with landowners and external stakeholders
- Proficiency with GIS applications and mapping tools
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Outlook skills
- Experience utilizing online research tools and land records resources
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Title research and title curative experience
- Experience preparing title updates and ownership reports
- Knowledge of pipeline operations and maintenance activities
- Experience supporting large-scale midstream infrastructure assets
- Familiarity with land administration systems and databases
