Job Summary:
Providence Christian Preparatory School is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and Christ-centered Elementary School Teacher to provide high-quality instruction while nurturing the spiritual, academic, social, and emotional growth of students.

The successful candidate will create a safe, engaging, and academically rigorous learning environment that promotes student achievement and supports the mission of the school. Teachers are expected to integrate biblical principles throughout instruction, foster positive relationships with students and families, and actively contribute to a collaborative school culture.

This position requires a commitment to academic excellence, professional growth, effective classroom management, and the development of each child's God-given talents and abilities.

Job Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Instruction and Assessment
Deliver engaging standards-based instruction aligned with the school's curriculum and academic expectations.
Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and educational technologies to meet diverse learning needs.
Analyze student performance data to guide instruction and improve student outcomes.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, assessments, and student progress.
Prepare students for standardized testing and academic benchmarks.

Christian Leadership:
Model Christian values, character, and professional conduct at all times.
Integrate biblical principles and Christian worldview concepts into daily instruction.
Participate in chapel services, prayer activities, and faith-based school programs.
Foster an environment that encourages spiritual growth, respect, integrity, and servant leadership.

Classroom Management and Student Development:
Establish and maintain a positive classroom culture that promotes learning and mutual respect.
Implement effective classroom management strategies consistent with school policies.
Encourage critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Support the social and emotional development of students.

Parent and Community Engagement:
Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
Respond promptly and professionally to parent inquiries and concerns.
Participate in parent-teacher conferences, open houses, school events, and family engagement activities.
Serve as a positive ambassador for Providence Christian Preparatory School.

Professional Responsibilities:
Participate in faculty meetings, professional development activities, and school improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with colleagues to support student achievement and school-wide goals.
Maintain confidentiality regarding students, families, and school operations.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or School Administrator.

Job Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field (required).
Florida Teaching Certificate or Statement of Eligibility preferred.
Minimum of one year of teaching experience preferred.
Knowledge of Florida Standards and instructional best practices.
Experience with educational technology and student information systems.
Strong classroom management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and colleagues.
Commitment to the mission and values of Christian education.

Essential Requirements:
o Level II background screening clearance
o Ability to speak for long periods of time
o Possess a strong passion for working with children.
o Must be reliable and able to maintain acceptable attendance.
o Must be coachable and willing to grow professionally
o Must be an active team player.
o Creative problem-solving skills.

Applicants must have the ability to participate in tasks that require moderate physical effort in light work, typically involving some combination of stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, and which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (12-20 pounds).
Hours of work may vary. Typical schedules are set between the hours of 7:30 am and 5:00 pm Monday thru Friday.
