This is a high-impact commercial role focused on driving growth across sweet goods and bakery product categories within a competitive and fast-moving food manufacturing landscape.
The position is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, strengthening long-term customer partnerships, and expanding revenue within direct sales channels.
It plays a key role in shaping sales strategy, informed by market insights, customer needs, and evolving category trends across bakery segments.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, product development, and operations to align execution with customer expectations.
The role requires a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset, with strong ownership of sales performance and pipeline development.
It also involves frequent client engagement and market travel to support relationship-building and business expansion.

Accountabilities:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth across sweet goods and bakery product categories, focusing on direct customer channels and long-term account expansion.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and prospects, ensuring deep understanding of their needs and delivering tailored commercial solutions.
  • Identify new market opportunities through research, competitive analysis, and ongoing monitoring of industry trends to support business expansion.
  • Develop accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and performance tracking tools to ensure alignment with business objectives and growth targets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, product development, and operations to ensure cohesive go-to-market strategies and customer alignment.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics, analyze results, and adjust strategies to consistently meet or exceed revenue goals and KPIs.
  • Prepare regular reporting for senior leadership, highlighting performance insights, opportunities, risks, and strategic recommendations.
  • Engage in customer meetings, industry events, and market visits with travel requirements up to 50%.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales, ideally within food manufacturing, bakery, or direct sales environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong expertise in sales strategy development, pipeline management, and end-to-end direct sales processes.
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with customers and influence stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data, market trends, and customer insights to inform decision-making.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, sales analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Results-driven mindset with a demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong adaptability, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
