Sr Manager Software Development

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr Manager Software Development based in the United States.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced software development professional passionate about building scalable technology solutions within the healthcare industry. The role combines people leadership, technical oversight, and strategic execution, guiding multiple development teams responsible for delivering high-quality software products. Working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, you will partner closely with product, operations, and engineering stakeholders to align technology initiatives with business objectives. The position offers the chance to influence technical direction, improve development processes, and support mission-critical healthcare systems. The position is fully remote within the United States.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead and manage multiple software development teams, ensuring successful delivery of scalable, reliable, and high-performing software solutions.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance management to developers, team leads, and engineering professionals while fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
  • Drive Agile development practices, including sprint planning, backlog management, retrospectives, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality releases aligned with product roadmaps, operational priorities, and business objectives.
  • Guide teams on application architecture, system design, integration patterns, and modern software development best practices.
  • Collaborate with architects, senior engineers, product leaders, and operational teams to maintain technical consistency across platforms.
  • Support the alignment of software solutions with healthcare industry requirements, regulatory standards, and revenue cycle management workflows.
  • Communicate project status, risks, priorities, and strategic recommendations effectively to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Oversee resource planning, team capacity management, and staffing alignment to support organizational goals and delivery commitments.
  • Promote collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across development teams and cross-functional partners.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development, engineering, or related technical roles.
  • At least 3 years of experience managing multiple software development teams and leading technical professionals.
  • Strong understanding of modern application development, APIs, software architecture, and engineering best practices.
  • Experience working with healthcare technology platforms, healthcare systems, or Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) solutions.
  • Solid knowledge of Agile methodologies, software development lifecycle processes, and delivery management frameworks.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-focused discussions for executive and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience operating in regulated environments with a strong focus on compliance, data integrity, and operational reliability.
  • Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with SMS, VOIP, telephony technologies, or related communication platforms is considered a plus.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship requirements.
