This is a senior technical leadership role responsible for defining and driving cloud infrastructure strategy across a scalable B2B SaaS environment. You will operate as a key architect and decision-maker, shaping how cloud systems are designed, secured, and optimized for performance and cost efficiency. The role blends hands-on architectural depth with strategic leadership, guiding engineering teams toward modern cloud-native practices. You will collaborate closely with software engineering, DevOps, and product teams to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable deployments. Beyond architecture, you will influence engineering standards, cloud governance, and platform evolution at scale. This is a high-impact position where your decisions directly shape platform reliability and long-term technical direction.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will define and lead the cloud infrastructure vision, ensuring alignment with broader business and engineering objectives while driving scalable system design and operational excellence. You will serve as the technical authority for cloud architecture, mentoring engineers and guiding best practices across distributed systems and platform engineering.

  • Define cloud strategy, architecture standards, and long-term infrastructure roadmap for a large-scale SaaS platform
  • Architect and implement highly available, secure, and scalable cloud-native systems across AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Lead Infrastructure as Code adoption using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation to ensure automation and consistency
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize system performance, reliability, and cost efficiency across services
  • Establish and enforce cloud security practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal governance policies
  • Drive monitoring, observability, and incident response strategies to proactively identify and resolve system issues
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and architectural guidance to cloud and platform engineering teams
  • Participate in architecture reviews and cross-functional planning to ensure alignment across product and engineering initiatives
Requirements

This role requires extensive experience in cloud engineering and platform architecture within SaaS or distributed systems environments. You should bring deep technical fluency in cloud platforms, strong systems thinking, and the ability to lead cross-functional technical initiatives with clarity and confidence.

  • 10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, platform engineering, or infrastructure roles in SaaS environments
  • Deep expertise in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP), with exposure to multi-cloud environments preferred
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, networking, and cloud security principles
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized application deployments at scale
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent tools)
  • Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and observability solutions for large-scale systems
  • Strong API, system design, and architecture skills with a focus on reliability and scalability
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders
  • Proven ability to mentor engineers and influence technical direction in collaborative environments
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred
Benefits
  • Fully remote work with flexibility to operate from anywhere in the United States
  • Competitive base salary with performance-based compensation structures
  • Equity participation opportunities in a high-growth environment
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage (US-based plans)
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer contributions
  • Paid time off, holidays, and flexible vacation policy
  • Life, disability, and supplemental insurance coverage options
  • Home office and equipment support to enable productive remote work
  • Opportunity to work on high-impact cloud architecture at scale.
