About the role
If you have an eye for detail and a passion for quality, join our laser engraving team and help create exceptional products with accuracy and craftsmanship! This seasonal role puts you at the controls of our laser engraving machine, turning out beautifully personalized products that our customers can't wait to unwrap. You'll be a key part of our in-house customization process, bringing each item to life with care, creativity, and precision. While the laser operation is your main event, you may also jump in on other production tasks as needed (e.g., quality control, basic assembly) — variety keeps things fun!
What you'll do
- Set up, operate, and monitor the laser engraving machine to bring personalized designs to life on a variety of products.
- Load and position materials with care, making sure every placement is precise before the laser gets to work.
- Fine-tune settings like speed, power, and focus to get crisp, clean engravings every time.
- Keep an eagle eye on quality throughout the process, catching any imperfections and making adjustments on the fly.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment hiccups and keep things running smoothly so production never skips a beat.
- Handle routine machine upkeep and keep your workstation clean, organized, and ready to go.
- Jump into other production tasks as needed — quality control, basic assembly, you name it — because variety keeps the day interesting.
- Team up with your crew to keep orders moving and deadlines met, especially during the seasonal rush.
- Bring your creative eye to the table, helping make sure every finished piece feels personal and polished.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with CNC and/or laser engraving equipment, or a solid woodworking background.
- A knack for personalizing and customizing products that make individual orders feel special.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong attention to detail, with a sharp eye for precision, alignment, and finishing.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and/or Adobe Photoshop is a plus.
- A strong design sensibility and creative eye is a plus.
- Friendly, patient, and a strong team player.
- Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to keep production flowing smoothly.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and remain standing for most of the day.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
