As a Staff Fullstack Engineer, you will lead the development of critical platform capabilities while providing technical direction and helping establish a strong engineering foundation. You will own complex initiatives from concept to delivery and collaborate closely with leadership to drive product success.
- Partner with executive leadership and engineering teammates to prioritize initiatives and execute the product roadmap.
- Design, develop, and maintain complex full-stack features and software components from end to end.
- Build scalable, reliable, and well-tested applications across frontend, backend, and cloud infrastructure.
- Take ownership of technical decisions, architecture improvements, and engineering standards.
- Develop user-facing experiences using modern frontend technologies while contributing to backend services and APIs.
- Establish engineering best practices, improve development workflows, and help create a high-performing engineering culture.
- Collaborate with Design, Operations, and other teams to continuously improve platform functionality and user experience.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance to improve team capabilities and delivery quality.
- Identify opportunities to improve system performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
- Contribute to strategic technical discussions and help translate business needs into effective technology solutions.
The ideal candidate is a highly experienced full-stack engineer with strong architectural skills, technical leadership experience, and a passion for building impactful products.
- 8+ years of professional software development experience.
- 3+ years of experience contributing to system design, architecture, or large-scale technical decisions.
- Strong full-stack development experience with TypeScript/JavaScript on the frontend and Node.js on the backend.
- Strong experience with React and modern frontend development practices.
- Solid knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including designing, deploying, and operating scalable services.
- Experience working with BigQuery and data-intensive applications.
- Experience designing, modeling, querying, and optimizing MongoDB databases is a plus.
- Strong testing discipline with experience implementing unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies.
- Proven ability to provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and raise engineering standards.
- Experience collaborating directly with executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams to define strategy and requirements.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, remote, product-focused environment.
- Experience with enterprise software, data platforms, SaaS products, or similar technology environments is preferred.
- Competitive salary range of $185,000 – $240,000 USD annually.
