This role is an opportunity to lead and evolve an earned media strategy for a growing technology organization.
You will own the public relations engine, shaping media visibility, executive positioning, and thought leadership initiatives.
The position combines strategic planning with hands-on execution across press relations, creator partnerships, and brand visibility.
You will work closely with marketing, leadership, and go-to-market teams to influence market perception and business growth.
As a senior individual contributor, you will have autonomy to make recommendations, drive initiatives, and measure impact.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing impactful communication strategies that strengthen brand awareness, improve market positioning, and support business objectives. You will manage external relationships, advise internal stakeholders, and continuously optimize earned media efforts through data-driven insights.
- Own and optimize the earned media strategy, including press releases, executive bylines, media pitching, interview coordination, and ongoing relationship management with journalists.
- Manage external PR agency partnerships by setting priorities, reviewing deliverables, and ensuring alignment with communication goals and performance metrics.
- Lead executive thought leadership initiatives by identifying opportunities, coaching spokespeople, and shaping narratives that support strategic objectives.
- Develop creator and influencer strategies across channels such as blogs, video platforms, and professional networks to increase visibility and audience engagement.
- Monitor media coverage, share of voice, and visibility within AI-generated search experiences to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support employer brand initiatives by applying PR expertise to strengthen talent attraction efforts across Canada.
- Collaborate with marketing, content, lifecycle, and go-to-market teams to ensure communication efforts are aligned and impactful.
- Provide strategic recommendations on communication priorities, opportunities, and campaigns while maintaining a strong understanding of market trends.
The ideal candidate is an experienced communications professional with a strong background in public relations, media strategy, and stakeholder management. You are comfortable operating independently, building trusted relationships, and translating complex technical topics into compelling stories.
- Proven experience developing and executing communication strategies across earned media channels, preferably within technology, SaaS, or B2B environments.
- Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to create compelling press materials, executive messaging, and strategic communication content.
- Established media relationships and hands-on experience managing media outreach, interviews, and external PR agency relationships.
- Experience coaching executive spokespeople and providing strategic guidance on positioning and messaging.
- Ability to develop creator, influencer, or emerging media strategies that improve brand visibility and engagement.
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with executives, agencies, journalists, and internal teams.
- Ability to quickly understand complex technical products and communicate their value clearly to different audiences.
- Self-directed, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
- Strategic mindset combined with strong execution skills and the ability to make informed recommendations.
- Familiarity with the Quebec market and French language skills are considered assets.
- Competitive base salary ranging from $100,000 to $125,000 CAD, with additional variable compensation opportunities.
- Target total compensation range of approximately $111,000 to $139,000 CAD.
