Little Red Barn Cook / Kitchen Team Member (Seasonal)
Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday, 1:00 PM–9:30 PM
Reports To: Executive Sous Chef
Location: Little Red Barn, Bishop’s Orchards
Position Overview
Bishop’s Orchards is seeking a dependable, energetic, and team-oriented Cook / Kitchen Team Member to support operations at the Little Red Barn. This role is primarily based at the Little Red Barn, helping execute our casual, fast-paced food service operation while also assisting with kitchen prep and support tasks as needed.
The ideal candidate enjoys working in a busy, customer-focused environment, takes pride in preparing quality food, and thrives as part of a collaborative team. Prior line cook experience is a plus, but we are also willing to train someone with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve menu items according to Bishop’s Orchards standards
- Assist with food prep, cooking, sandwich making, plating, and service
- Support Little Red Barn operations during busy service periods
- Maintain clean, organized, and stocked prep, cooking, and service areas
- Follow recipes, portioning, labeling, dating, and food rotation procedures
- Ensure food quality, freshness, consistency, and presentation standards are met
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service to guests
- Assist with opening and closing duties, restocking, and cleaning
- Maintain walk-ins, coolers, freezers, and storage areas in a clean and organized manner
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and properly
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, HACCP, OSHA, and company procedures
- Communicate effectively with kitchen leadership and team members
- Support additional kitchen operations and projects as assigned

Requirements:Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Available to work Tuesday–Saturday, including evenings
- Prior line cook, restaurant, kitchen, deli, or food service experience is preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and kitchen procedures
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices preferred
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting/moving up to 50 lbs
- Ability to multitask and stay organized during busy shifts
