MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Gorham, ME 04038

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This is a full-time, hourly, in-person position with eight-hour shifts, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine inspections of buildings, systems, and equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal operation
  • Complete general repairs, including carpentry, drywall, painting, and basic plumbing/electrical work
  • Diagnose maintenance issues and implement effective solutions
  • Coordinate and oversee outside contractors when specialized repairs are required
  • Repair structures and components within the scope of your certifications and experience
  • Accurately document completed work using company software and devices
  • Communicate professionally with clients, tenants, coworkers, and vendors
  • Participate in an on-call rotation with team members
  • Safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs as needed

Requirements: Qualifications
  • Proven experience in property maintenance or a related field
  • Working knowledge of carpentry, drywall, flooring, painting, plumbing, electrical systems, doors, windows, siding, and decks
  • Experience installing LVT, snap-lock, or carpet tile flooring preferred
  • Proficient with hand and power tools
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Comfortable working on ladders and in varying conditions
  • Basic computer skills, including email and mobile applications
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Professional demeanor and strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective time management and problem-solving abilities
Tools & Equipment

Technicians are responsible for providing their own basic hand tools (e.g., hammer, tape measure, pliers, screwdrivers). The company will supply power tools and specialized equipment as needed. Transportation to and from job sites is the responsibility of the technician.

  • Starting pay: $25/hour or higher, based on experience
