About Us

Mamahuhu's founding team includes Brandon Jew of Mister Jiu's in San Francisco's Chinatown and Anmao Sun and Ben Moore of Hunter Gatherer, a farm-to-table restaurant group in Shanghai, China. With experience spanning fine dining to fast casual, China to California, our team is united by a shared love for Chinese-American food and a commitment to sustainability, quality sourcing, and community.

Job Overview

Mamahuhu is growing its front of house team. We have a casual, 40-seat dining room with bench, counter and booth seating. The dining room is designed for counter-service style ordering where guests line up, order at the counter, receive a number and we bring the food out to them when it's ready. The front of house is designed to be simple and lean and works great when we have a tight, organized group who can work efficiently and as a team.

We are looking for friendly and positive team members to join our Front of House team! We are currently hiring for both lunch and dinner shifts. Lunch shifts typically run from 11:00am–4:00pm, while dinner shifts are usually from 4:00pm–9:30pm.

This role is dynamic and hands-on, with responsibilities that may include running food, bussing the dining room, working the POS counter, answering phones, and occasionally supporting the expediter during service. Our restaurants are fun, flexible, and teamwork-oriented environments where everyone jumps in to help make the guest experience great!

We Are Looking For Someone Who

• Ideally has at least 1 year of experience in a hospitality setting
• Is available for both AM and PM shifts any day of the week
• Has a strong work ethic, and thrives on being part of a close knit team
• Has a sense of urgency, and challenges themselves to accomplish more each day
• Can pay close attention to detail
• Appreciates food as a way to bring people together
• Experience with or interest in Chinese cuisine is a plus!
• Has a strong sense of hospitality and service
