Job Title: Licensed or Pre-Licensed Therapist

Location: 100 S. Saunders Rd, Ste 150, Lake Forest, IL 60045

Position Type: Full-Time - Exempt

Reports To: Clinical Director

Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Therapist (will consider pre-licensed) to join our expanding multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will provide individual, group, and family therapy to clients with a variety of mental health and neuropsychological conditions. The Licensed Therapist will work collaboratively with other clinicians to develop and implement effective treatment plans, ensuring the highest standards of care.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Services

  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and their families.

Client Care

  • Maintain a client-centered approach, fostering a supportive and therapeutic environment.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.

Documentation and Compliance

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with practice policies and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant ethical, legal, and professional guidelines.
  • Participate in regular case review and clinician feedback meetings.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including neuropsychologists, psychiatrists, and other therapists.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare providers.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to case discussions.

Professional Development:

  • Stay current with developments in the field of mental health and neuropsychology.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities.
  • Contribute to the training and supervision of interns and trainees as appropriate.

Community Engagement:

  • Represent the practice in community outreach and educational activities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources and community partners.
  • Promote the practice through public speaking, workshops, and other outreach initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Current licensure as a therapist (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Clinical Psychologist) in Illinois or licensure eligible.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in a neuropsychological or mental health setting.
  • Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, EMDR).
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to ethical practice and continuous professional development.
  • Prefer experience with children, adolescents, teens, and adults
  • Prefer experience with couples, families, trauma, substance abuse, and schools
  • Prefer a general knowledge of therapy services, community resources, insurance billing, and previous experience with mental health documentation

PTO

After 90 days of employment 12 days of time off for personal, sick, vacation and up to 40 hours may carry over annually.

Paid Holidays

New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day.

Physical and Work Requirements

This role requires the ability to conduct therapy sessions maintaining focus and attention to detail for extended periods, and sit for prolonged durations. Occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs.) may be required.
