This role is a mid-level engineering leadership position focused on delivering high-quality telecom and ICT design solutions across complex, multi-discipline projects. You will take ownership of project delivery from early programming through closeout, ensuring technical accuracy, coordination, and alignment with scope, schedule, and budget. Acting as both a technical expert and emerging leader, you will guide design decisions, support cross-discipline collaboration, and contribute to improving internal systems and standards. The role blends hands-on engineering work with client engagement, mentorship, and growing influence in shaping project delivery practices. You will also play a key part in strengthening documentation, workflows, and knowledge sharing across teams. This position is ideal for someone ready to expand their leadership impact while continuing to grow deep technical expertise in telecom design and coordination.
- Lead small to mid-scale telecom/ICT engineering projects through all phases, from programming and design development to documentation and project closeout.
- Develop and maintain coordinated technical deliverables, including layouts, specifications, calculations, and supporting documentation aligned with engineering and firm standards.
- Manage scope, schedule, and budget alignment while identifying risks early and supporting proactive resolution of technical and coordination issues.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure clear communication, consistent documentation, and effective multi-discipline coordination.
- Mentor Designers and engineers by providing hands-on technical guidance, reviews, feedback, and support for professional development.
- Contribute to improving internal systems, tools, and workflows through documentation updates, GitHub contributions, and process enhancements.
- Support client engagement and business development activities, including meetings, interviews, and development of technical narratives and proposals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred) or equivalent professional experience.
- 6+ years of experience in AEC or related consulting environments, with a focus on telecom/ICT, structured cabling, or low-voltage systems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead portions of multi-discipline projects and deliver coordinated engineering designs independently.
- Strong understanding of project delivery processes, construction documentation standards, and cross-discipline coordination practices.
- Proficiency with tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam Studio, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and GitHub.
- Experience contributing to technical standards, QA/QC processes, or workflow improvements is highly valued.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to mentor and guide junior staff while balancing independent project responsibilities.
- Certifications such as RCDD, CDT, CCNA, EIT, PE, or PMP are considered a plus.
- Competitive annual salary range of $125,000–$160,000, based on experience and expertise.
