CNC Steel Fabrication Operator in York, Pennsylvania at Qualdoc, LLC

Set up and operate CNC equipment, including plasma cutters, beam drill lines, and angle lines.

Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and work orders to meet production specifications.

Load and position steel beams, plates, and other materials using overhead cranes and rigging equipment.

Monitor machine performance and adjust settings to maintain accuracy and product quality.

Check dimensions and tolerances using tape measures, calipers, squares, and other precision measuring tools.

Make basic CNC programming edits and adjustments for different material sizes and thicknesses.

Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues.

Keep the work area clean and follow OSHA requirements and shop safety procedures.

High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred.

At least 2 years of CNC machine operation experience in structural steel fabrication or heavy manufacturing.

Ability to read and understand structural steel shop drawings.

Proficiency with precision measuring tools.

Experience using overhead cranes, forklifts, and rigging equipment preferred.

Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.
