National Sales Director - Freight Ninja

We are also a PEOPLE FIRST company. We often say parking is our industry but people are our passion. Our mission is to create opportunities for our employees and value for our clients. If youre looking to join a growing company led by passionate people committed to being the best contact us today!

About Freight Ninja

LAZ is proud to partner with Freight Ninja Truck Parking Solutions, a growing provider of secure truck, trailer, fleet parking, and Industrial Outdoor Storage (IOS). Together, LAZ and Freight Ninja combine operational expertise, technology, and infrastructure to support a growing nationwide network of industrial properties.

The Spirit of the Position:

At LAZ and Freight Ninja, we thrive when our people thrive. The National Sales Director builds and leads the Freight Ninja sales team and is accountable for revenue and occupancy across every yard. You will work closely with our VP of Business Technology & Strategy to turn data on occupancy, pricing and customer trends into clear priorities for the team. Then you will make sure the team acts on them. This is a hands-on coaching role for a leader who sets high standards and holds people to them.

What Youll Do:

  • Lead and develop the team. Hire, onboard, coach and manage Account Managers and BDRs through regular one-on-ones, pipeline reviews and training. Build a competitive, accountable culture.
  • Turn strategy into action. Point the teams effort at new yards, underperforming locations, customer retention and revenue growth. Explain the why behind each priority, and adjust as the market changes.
  • Own performance. Set individual and team goals for revenue, occupancy, pipeline, conversion and retention. Address gaps early through coaching or performance plans, and recognize top performers.
  • Coach the craft. Improve prospecting, discovery, objection handling, negotiating and closing. Build repeatable sales processes and training.
  • Drive CRM discipline. Make sure HubSpot is used consistently and accurately for pipeline, activity and forecasting. Partner on new tools and workflows; you own adoption, not system administration.
  • Collaborate across the business. Work with Operations, Marketing and Customer Success so that sales commitments match what each site can deliver. Serve as the main point of accountability for the sales organization.

What You Bring:

Required:

  • 5+ years in B2B sales, including 3+ years leading and coaching sales teams.
  • A track record of hitting revenue targets and holding teams accountable to KPIs.
  • Comfort using sales and performance data to set priorities.
  • A hands-on, organized leadership style suited to a fast-growing company.

Preferred:

  • Experience in transportation, trucking, logistics, truck parking, industrial outdoor storage, self-storage or another occupancy-based business.
  • HubSpot CRM experience.
  • Experience leading distributed, multi-location sales teams and scaling a team through hiring and process.

Skills:

  • Strong organization and project-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Hands-on approach, sound judgment, and a strong sense of ownership and follow-through.
  • Ability to work independently, act with urgency, and communicate effectively with the team.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and high performance standards.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 10 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and walk for a duration of 1-2 hours at a time.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with qualified disabilities to perform the essential duties/functions.

FLSA Status: Exempt
