Job Description

Quality Assurance Auditor

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Quality Assurance Auditor in Canada.

This role sits at the intersection of quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence within complex industrial environments. You will conduct remote and on-site third-party audits focused on internationally recognized ISO standards, ensuring organizations maintain robust and compliant management systems. The position involves close interaction with client stakeholders across technical and executive levels, translating audit findings into clear, actionable insights. You will play a key role in supporting certification processes and strengthening quality, environmental, and safety performance across North American operations. The environment is highly autonomous and requires strong judgment, precision, and the ability to work independently across multiple client engagements. It is ideal for a seasoned auditor who thrives in structured yet field-driven, compliance-focused work.

Accountabilities:

You will be responsible for executing end-to-end third-party audits across ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards, ensuring full compliance with international certification requirements. You will plan, schedule, and coordinate audit activities directly with clients while managing both remote and on-site engagements. You will prepare detailed audit reports, document findings, and communicate compliance levels clearly to stakeholders at all organizational levels. You will also review corrective actions, verify closure of non-conformities, and ensure continuous improvement of client management systems. In addition, you will maintain audit credentials, contribute to process adherence, and support consistent audit quality across all assignments.

  • Conduct remote and on-site ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 audits
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate audit activities with client organizations
  • Prepare comprehensive and professional audit reports and documentation
  • Review corrective actions and validate resolution of audit findings
  • Engage with management teams to communicate compliance status and recommendations
  • Maintain audit certifications and pursue ongoing professional development
Requirements:

This role requires strong expertise in quality assurance and auditing within industrial or oil and gas environments, supported by at least 5 years of relevant experience or a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience). You should have proven knowledge of QA/QC systems, fabrication standards, and operational compliance frameworks used in oil and gas projects. A current Lead Auditor certification in ISO 9001, 14001, and/or 45001 is required, with IRCA or RAB registration considered a strong advantage. You must be highly autonomous, detail-oriented, and capable of producing precise technical audit documentation in English. Strong communication skills and the ability to interact confidently with senior stakeholders are essential.

  • 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, auditing, or oil & gas QA/QC roles
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards
  • Lead Auditor certification required (IRCA or RAB preferred)
  • Background in mechanical or electrical engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Expertise in industrial fabrication standards and compliance systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Benefits:
  • Competitive contract-based compensation aligned with experience
  • Remote-first flexibility with occasional on-site audit assignments
  • Exposure to international clients and regulated industrial environments
  • Opportunity to work on globally recognized ISO certification frameworks
  • Professional growth through continued auditor certification development
  • Autonomous work structure with diverse, high-impact assignments
  • Engagement with senior leadership across client organizations
