Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices and procedures, as well as the ability to maintain a sterile and efficient work environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency.
- Preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment according to aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records, ensuring all information is up-to-date and compliant with legal standards.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
- Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up calls to ensure a seamless patient experience.
- Operate dental software such as eClinicalWorks (eCW) for managing patient records and appointments.

Schedule
- Monday to Friday - no evenings, weekends or holidays
- Full-time preferred, part-time considered
- In-person work location at our clinic in Bristol

Requirements:
Previous experience in a dental assisting role
Must have attention to detail and ability to work in a team setting.
Responds professionally to high-pressure situations and time limits.
Wants to learn, grow and provide compassionate patient care.
Knowledge of anatomy relevant to general dentistry practices.
Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and equipment.
Experience in medical documentation and maintaining medical records.
Previous experience in a dental assisting role is preferred but not mandatory.
Understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
