POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
The Human Resources Analyst – Generalist provides professional Human Resources consultation, analytical support, and operational services across multiple Human Resources functional areas. This position serves as a cross-functional HR professional responsible for supporting recruitment, compensation, employee benefits, workforce compliance, and strategic Human Resources initiatives. The Human Resources Analyst – Generalist partners with leaders and employees to deliver responsive, data-driven, and customer-focused HR solutions that support organizational goals and ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and organizational policies.
This position performs professional-level work requiring the interpretation and application of Human Resources policies, procedures, and employment regulations. Responsibilities include coordinating recruitment activities, conducting compensation analyses, assisting employees with benefits programs, administering Texas Workforce Commission unemployment processes, and participating in special projects involving HR initiatives. The incumbent utilizes Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), reporting tools, and data analytics to identify trends, improve operational efficiency, and support informed business decisions.
FUNCTIONS- Provides recruitment support throughout the hiring process by partnering with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, coordinating recruitment activities, assisting with candidate selection, and ensuring compliance with established recruitment policies and procedures. Maintains recruitment metrics, participates in recruiting events, and promotes positive candidate experience while helping the organization attract and retain qualified talent. (E, 25%)
- Performs compensation analysis by evaluating internal equity, market data, and salary recommendations in support of recruitment, retention, promotions, transfers, and organizational initiatives. Assists with job description development, salary surveys, and the interpretation of compensation policies while providing analytical support for executive recommendations and ensuring compliance with compensation practices and applicable employment laws. - Provides analytical support for employee benefit programs, including health benefits, retirement plans, and voluntary benefit offerings. Assists employees with benefit-related questions, eligibility, enrollments, qualifying life events, and vendor coordination while supporting benefit audits, reporting, compliance activities, and annual enrollment processes to ensure the effective administration of employee benefit programs. (E, 25%)
- Coordinates activities related to unemployment claims and workforce compliance by responding to requests from the Texas Workforce Commission, gathering documentation, preparing case information, monitoring claim activity, and partnering with department leaders to ensure accurate and timely responses. Maintains knowledge of applicable state regulations while supporting organizational compliance and minimizing unemployment liability. (E, 10%)
- Supports strategic Human Resources initiatives through participation in cross-functional projects involving Human Resources Information Systems, analytics, employee engagement, and operational excellence. (E, 10%)
- Performs other duties as assigned (E, 5%)
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelors’ degree in human resources or related field is required, with a minimum of 1 years of experience in human resources or related field. Experience with Microsoft Excel is required.
