What You'll Do
As an you will operate laser/turret equipment in accordance to quality and production standards. If you enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate turret and laser cutting equipment to produce quality metal components that meet blueprint and MPE specifications.
- Load and unload raw materials using manual lifts, overhead cranes, and forklifts.
- Set up, operate, and perform routine maintenance on equipment, including tooling changes, sharpening, calibrations, nozzle alignment, and focus lens cleaning.
- Operate InspecVision scanning equipment and complete required quality and process verifications in ERP.
- Set up and operate automated sheet loaders, EMLK, and Apelio equipment.
- Cross-train and assist with shakeout (part separation), deburring, hardware insertion, and press brake operations as production needs require.
- Follow all MPE safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years of set up and running laser/turret equipment or CNCs
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings
- Knowledge on the use of measuring tolls such as calipers, pin gauges, and height gauges
- Quality checks are required
- Regularly required to use hands tools and power tools
- Must be able to read and follow directors
- Specific abilities include close vision, reading, lifting up to 50 pounds.
