About the Role:

The Front Office Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the front desk and guest services within a hospitality or corporate environment. This position is responsible for leading and supervising the front office team to deliver exceptional customer service, manage guest relations, and maintain operational standards. The Front Office Manager oversees daily front desk activities, including check-in and check-out processes, reservations, and handling guest inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally. This role requires collaboration with other departments to enhance the overall guest experience and optimize workflow. Ultimately, the Front Office Manager ensures that all front office operations contribute positively to the organization's reputation and financial performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in front office operations within the hospitality industry or a similar customer-facing environment.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role overseeing front desk or guest services teams.
  • Strong knowledge of front office software systems and reservation platforms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with property management systems (PMS) such as Opera, Maestro, or similar.
  • Certification in hospitality management or customer service excellence.
  • Multilingual abilities to effectively communicate with diverse guest populations.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze operational data and implement process improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate front office staff activities to maintain high service standards and operational efficiency.
  • Manage guest check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly to maintain guest satisfaction.
  • Oversee reservation management and ensure effective communication with housekeeping and other departments.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate front office team members to promote professional development and performance excellence.
  • Maintain accurate records of guest accounts, billing, and daily financial transactions.
  • Implement and monitor front office policies and procedures to comply with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare reports on front office performance, occupancy rates, and customer feedback for senior management review.
