Retail Specialist (Part-Time)

Part-Time | Up to 20 hours per week

Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Retail Specialist to support the daily operations of our retail shops. If you enjoy working with people, staying organized, and creating a positive shopping experience, we'd love to meet you!

What You'll Do
Provide outstanding customer service to members, volunteers, and visitors.
Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and accurately process transactions.
Balance cash drawer, prepare deposits, and complete daily sales reports.
Stock merchandise, maintain inventory, and create attractive product displays.
Assist with promotions, special events, and seasonal sales.
Help keep the shop organized, welcoming, and fully stocked.
Support off-site events, Cookie Cupboards, and other council activities as needed.
Travel to other GSHH locations when necessary.
What You'll Bring
High school diploma or GED.
At least one year of retail or customer service experience.
Cash handling and money reconciliation experience.
Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; POS experience preferred.
Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends.
Commitment to the mission and values of Girl Scouts.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 20 pounds.
