Job overview:
Schneider is seeking a Compliance Specialist in Green Bay to provide day-to-day hiring process support to Recruiting Specialists and Recruiters. The Compliance Specialist will ensure Schneider stays compliant with the Federal and State Departments of Transportation.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a working knowledge of DOT regulations.
- Review truck driver candidate qualification files.
- Review criminal background records, motor vehicle records, employment history records and other records to ensure candidates meet Schneider's criteria.
- Utilize a verification program to validate candidates' records.
- Continually update Schneider's candidate tracking system.
- Communicate findings with Recruiting Specialists, Recruiters and leadership.
- Train new members of the compliance team.
Skills and qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1-3 years of professional work experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding attention to detail.
