- Become a subject matter expert in the Company's ERP systems, including Global Shop, E2, and QuickBooks, supporting accounting operations, reporting, and system enhancements.
- Lead the transition of remote location accounting and reporting processes to the Hartland Shared Services team by understanding each entity's business, documenting current processes, developing transition plans, and successfully executing migrations.
- Prepare accurate and well-supported journal entries for monthly financial transactions.
- Assist with the monthly close process, including account reconciliations, variance analysis, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Account for payroll, commissions, employee benefits, payroll taxes, and related accruals.
- Account for goodwill, intangible assets, equity transactions, warrants, and other complex accounting activities.
- Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions among Fathom entities and ensure timely and accurate eliminations during consolidation.
- Partner with operations and internal stakeholders to research accounting matters, resolve discrepancies, and provide exceptional internal customer support.
- Perform financial and operational analysis to identify trends, improve reporting, and recommend process improvements.
- Utilize multiple ERP systems and software applications to research transactions, reconcile data, and develop accurate financial reporting.
- Assist in developing standardized accounting procedures and support continuous improvement initiatives across the Finance organization.
- Support acquisitions, integrations, and shared services initiatives as assigned.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five or more years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing or multi-entity environment.
- Experience with Global Shop, E2, QuickBooks, or comparable ERP/accounting systems preferred.
- Experience working with multiple legal entities, consolidations, and intercompany accounting preferred.
- Experience participating in process improvement initiatives and accounting system implementations or conversions is highly desirable.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, lookups (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP), and financial reporting.
- Experience using and maintaining Power Query to update, refresh, and support recurring reports and data connections.
- Ability to consolidate and analyze data from multiple ERP systems, general ledgers, and other sources into meaningful financial reports.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the initiative to investigate issues, ask questions, and develop practical solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new software applications and confidently navigate multiple business systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with a collaborative, customer-service-oriented approach.
- Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset and a willingness to challenge existing processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
- Occasional travel, including travel to Colorado and other Fathom locations, may be required to support accounting transitions, training, process improvements, and business integration initiatives.
- This position may perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the Accounting and Finance organization.
