Webster Dental Care has been providing exceptional patient care throughout the Chicagoland area for nearly 50 years. With multiple locations across the region, we are looking for a dependable, skilled Handyman to help maintain our facilities and ensure our offices remain safe, functional, and welcoming for our patients and employees.

Position Summary

The Handyman / Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep at Webster Dental Care's offices. This individual will travel between locations to complete preventative maintenance, respond to service requests, and coordinate larger repairs with outside vendors when necessary.

Responsibilities
  • Perform general building maintenance and repairs, including carpentry, painting, drywall, flooring, and basic plumbing.
  • Troubleshoot and complete minor electrical repairs (lighting, outlets, switches, etc.).
  • Assemble and install office furniture, cabinetry, shelving, and equipment.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance at all practice locations.
  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors when specialized repairs are required.
  • Maintain maintenance logs and communicate repair status to management.
  • Ensure offices remain clean, safe, and in good working condition.
  • Assist with office renovations, equipment moves, and special projects as needed.
  • Travel between multiple Chicagoland office locations.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of general maintenance or handyman experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and painting.
  • Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues independently.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders as needed.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently.
