Job Description:

SUMMARY:

This position performs consolidated general clerk services in the property book office that meets the standards in AR 735-5, AR 710-2, AR 220-1 and DA Pam 710-2-1, to include TRADOC, USAG POM, and LRC policies relating to property accountability to ensure the USAG POM Commander/PBO meet the legal, regulatory, and policy requirements for U.S. Army property. Performs limited aspects of general office duties in support of supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Work usually is segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility. The work generally involves individual case problems or supply actions. This work may require consideration of program requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Data entry in support of supply activities to include support of inventory control, storage, distribution, cataloging, supply identification systems, property utilization, and other related activities using GCSS-Army (Global Combat Support System - Army).
  • Preparing inventories, resolving discrepancies, and supporting the Property Book Supply Technician in tracking non-expendable and durable equipment.
  • Prepares documentation to complete the issue of equipment to the customer and ensure receipt documentation from customer for turn-in of equipment is accurate and complete, IAW applicable equipment Technical Manuals and documentation is prepared IAW DA Pam 710-2.
  • Operates and maintains the GCSS-A automated property book system to include, but not limited to, input of data, reorganization of files, TDA updates and in accordance with the GCSS-A Operating Manual.
  • Receives and reviews for accuracy incoming documents submitted for adjustments to the property book.
  • Maintains property book files and hand receipts in accordance with applicable Army Regulation and local policies.
  • Reviews for accuracy all requests from external agencies relating to property accountability, determine validity and provide the PBO documentation for review and approval.
  • Conducts person-to-person contact to convey information and can compile reports, letters, memoranda, training, briefings etc.
  • Maintains accounting for equipment, cataloging, maintenance, and disposal procedures.

  • This position supports the DOD on a federal installation and the candidate must be available to work at the assigned physical location during business hours.

    • 7:30AM-4:30PM (M-F)

    NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must be familiar with a computer environment and be able to work on a desktop or laptop computer
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Requirements:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Essential :

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with STAMIS automated supply systems is required
  • Knowledge of Warehouse functions: receiving, accounting for and properly tracking.
  • Knowledge to plan and accomplish a variety of complex work assignments and/or identify problems and be able to analyze and resolve
  • Follow all Safety Regulation

    Preferred :

  • Minimum one (1) year of related job experience preferred

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, comprehend and explain instructions, letters, memos, emails, and correspondence from inside the organization as well as from external sources. Ability to effectively respond, communicate and present information to customers, internal and external, clients and other employees in the organization. Ability to interpret instructions and information and explain to others in the performance of this job in English.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/HOURS:

This position is not eligible for remote work, as the essential functions of the role require the employee to perform duties on-site. The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment. During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise. Routinely work 8 hours per day but will require having flexed hours to accommodate for mission requirements to include weekends and Holidays. Overtime may be required. Must be able to work in fast paced, multi-task environment.

EXPECTATIONS:

Transportation & Access: You must have reliable transportation to and from work and be able to access military installations.

Background & Drug Screening: Employment requires passing a background check and pre-employment drug screening. Random drug and alcohol testing may also occur without prior notice.

Timesheets: Record your actual work hours daily and ensure your entries are accurate and timely to support smooth operations.

Dress & Punctuality: Arrive on time and dress appropriately for your shift.

BACKGROUND INVESTIGATIONS:

All employees are required to undergo an initial background investigation as a condition of employment. Additionally, employees may be subject to subsequent background investigations if circumstances warrant, such as the emergence of a need, an issue, or probable cause.

Employees assigned to work on federal installations or projects must also comply with government-mandated background investigations, which are conducted independently of the company's investigations. Employment and continued assignment to federal installations are contingent upon successfully meeting and maintaining these requirements.
