This is a senior finance leadership opportunity overseeing the strategy and execution of global transactional accounting operations.
You will lead teams across Accounts Payable, Payroll, Accounts Receivable, Billing, and Order-to-Cash functions.
The role combines operational excellence with systems transformation, automation, governance, and internal controls.
You will partner closely with Finance, Procurement, HR, Revenue Operations, Commercial Finance, and other business leaders.
A major focus will be building scalable processes, strengthening audit readiness, and improving financial accuracy and efficiency.
You will also shape the technology roadmap across ERP, billing, payroll, payment, and spend management platforms.

- Lead the global strategy and day-to-day execution of transactional accounting operations spanning Accounts Payable, Procure-to-Pay, Time & Expense, Payroll, Accounts Receivable, Billing, and Order-to-Cash.
- Direct AP operations, including high-volume invoice processing, vendor onboarding, payment execution, compliance activities, three-way matching, purchase order enforcement, approval workflows, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close activities.
- Partner with Procurement and Supply Chain leadership to establish operational SLAs, improve working capital management, optimize payment terms, and strengthen cash outflow forecasting.
- Oversee global multi-state U.S. and international payroll operations, including statutory tax reporting, payroll reconciliations, journal entries, regulatory compliance, benefits, mobility, bonuses, and equity-related processes.
- Lead AR and Billing operations across direct-to-consumer, subscription, B2B, and retail channels, ensuring accurate billing, cash application, customer deposits, collections, credit policies, and receivables management.
- Establish strong governance over payment processor settlements, retail remittances, payment recovery, refunds, disputes, and other O2C activities to minimize friction and bad debt.
- Partner with Revenue Accounting and Finance leadership to ensure billing, credits, reserves, disputes, cash application, and customer transactions support accurate revenue recognition and an efficient month-end close.
- Drive cross-functional improvements with Revenue Operations, Commercial Finance, Customer Experience, HR, Procurement, and other teams to eliminate operational bottlenecks and improve the customer and employee experience.
- Own the finance operations technology roadmap, including implementations, upgrades, integrations, and optimization across ERP, billing, payment, payroll, customer service, and spend management platforms.
- Establish and maintain a robust internal control environment, including SOX readiness, segregation of duties, risk mitigation, compliance monitoring, and audit preparation across operational accounting processes.
- Own operational month-end close timelines and serve as the primary accountable leader for external audit deliverables, process documentation, PBC requests, and compliance sign-offs.
- Define and monitor executive-level KPIs such as AP cycle time, payroll accuracy, DSO, unbilled receivables, processor performance, and operational close metrics.
- Build effective governance models and SLAs for outsourced operations and third-party vendors, ensuring quality, compliance, cost efficiency, and consistent delivery.
- Build, develop, and lead high-performing teams while creating a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, operational discipline, and collaboration.
- 10–12+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance operations, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership position overseeing AP/P2P and AR/O2C functions, with payroll leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field; CPA, CMA, or MBA is strongly preferred.
- Proven experience leading operational accounting functions within a fast-growing D2C e-commerce, consumer hardware, retail distribution, SaaS, or subscription-based organization.
- Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SOX internal controls, multi-state payroll requirements, credit risk management, vendor compliance, and global accounting operations.
- Strong technical expertise with modern ERP and financial systems such as NetSuite and Workday, along with billing platforms such as Stripe, Zuora, or Recurly.
- Experience with spend management and procurement platforms such as Zip or Ramp, payroll systems such as ADP or Workday Payroll, and customer service platforms such as Zendesk.
- Demonstrated success leading enterprise-wide system implementations, integrations, automation initiatives, and workflow redesign across multiple operational accounting functions.
- Strong understanding of transactional accounting processes, internal controls, reconciliations, close management, audit readiness, and operational performance measurement.
- Ability to lead through complexity, establish scalable processes, and balance strategic transformation with hands-on operational accountability.
- Exceptional cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and coordinate effectively across Finance, HR, Procurement, Revenue Operations, and other business functions.
- Strong people leadership skills with a track record of building high-performing teams, developing talent, establishing accountability, and driving continuous improvement.

- U.S. base salary ranging from $164,900 to $236,000, depending on geographic region.
- Region 1: $200,600–$236,000.
- Region 2: $182,750–$215,000.
- Region 3: $164,900–$194,000.
