Account Director

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Account Director based in India.

This role offers the opportunity to lead strategic enterprise sales initiatives within the cybersecurity and technology space.
You will manage complex customer relationships, drive revenue growth, and build long-term partnerships with senior decision-makers.
The position combines new business development, account expansion, and consultative selling across high-value enterprise accounts.
You will own the full sales cycle while collaborating with internal teams to deliver measurable customer outcomes.
The role requires a strategic mindset, strong commercial skills, and the ability to navigate sophisticated buying environments.
Working remotely, you will contribute to a global sales organization focused on innovation, customer success, and market impact.

Accountabilities:

The Account Director will be responsible for growing enterprise revenue by managing strategic accounts, developing new opportunities, and delivering value-driven sales experiences. This role requires strong ownership of pipeline generation, relationship building, and commercial execution across complex customer environments.

  • Identify and pursue new enterprise opportunities through outbound prospecting, referrals, and partner-led sales motions.
  • Conduct strategic discovery sessions to understand customer challenges and align solutions with business and cybersecurity objectives.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of enterprise accounts by identifying upsell, cross-sell, and renewal opportunities.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, including security leaders, technology executives, and procurement teams.
  • Guide customers throughout the sales journey by acting as a strategic advisor and delivering insights beyond the initial transaction.
  • Partner with customer success and internal teams to support successful onboarding, adoption, and long-term customer value.
  • Manage complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders, extended decision processes, and significant contract negotiations.
  • Apply structured sales methodologies to qualify opportunities, develop proposals, handle objections, and close strategic deals.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and sales activity tracking using CRM and sales productivity tools.
  • Monitor cybersecurity market trends, competitive developments, and customer needs to inform sales strategies and internal initiatives.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings extensive enterprise sales experience, strong consultative selling capabilities, and the ability to influence technical and executive stakeholders. A successful candidate will combine commercial expertise with curiosity, resilience, and a customer-focused approach.

  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise SaaS, cybersecurity, or technology sales roles managing complex sales cycles.
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding revenue targets and growing strategic territories.
  • Experience closing large-scale, multi-year enterprise contracts with complex stakeholder groups.
  • Strong knowledge of consultative selling, discovery techniques, objection handling, and negotiation.
  • Experience using value-based sales frameworks such as MEDDPICC or similar methodologies.
  • Ability to engage confidently with C-level executives, security leaders, and business decision-makers.
  • Experience managing direct sales motions as well as partner-driven go-to-market strategies.
  • Strong operational discipline with experience using CRM and sales enablement tools such as Salesforce or equivalent platforms.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Customer-focused attitude with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to build internal and external partnerships.
