STEPS Medical Assistant in Lexington, Kentucky at University of Kentucky

Regularly sitting, standing, walking, with some pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects weighing up to 10lbs and occasional pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects up to 50lbs.

Monday-Friday, Anytime between 730-5p

The Medical Assistant (MA) will be responsible for direct patient care and provides clinical support to providers. Duties include but are not limited to the following: obtaining patient medical history information, expediting patient flow, rooming patients, stocking the clinic with supplies, navigating the electronic health record, scheduling appointments and assisting with medication fill requests, prior authorizations and scheduling tests, procedures and consults.

Demonstrated knowledge of medical office and clinical procedures; skilled in patient care support, customer service, electronic medical records, scheduling, and healthcare administration; able to communicate effectively, prioritize competing demands, maintain accurate documentation, work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams, and provide safe, high-quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.
