This role focuses on driving strategic growth within the Third-Party Administrator (TPA) sector by developing new business opportunities and expanding client relationships.
The successful candidate will lead targeted sales initiatives, build strong market partnerships, and create strategies that increase visibility and revenue growth.
Working closely with internal leaders and cross-functional teams, this position combines consultative selling, relationship management, and market intelligence.
The role offers the opportunity to influence business development strategy while helping shape growth across a key industry segment.
The ideal candidate will bring strong sales expertise, industry knowledge, and the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
This is a remote opportunity requiring travel across the assigned territory to strengthen partnerships and generate new opportunities.
The Business Development Executive will be responsible for creating and executing growth strategies that expand market presence, strengthen client relationships, and support long-term business objectives. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying opportunities, managing sales pipelines, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver client-focused solutions.
- Lead business development planning and sales activities within the TPA sector in collaboration with leadership and key stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for expanding service offerings and develop consultative sales strategies to drive new business.
- Build, manage, and maintain a structured sales pipeline while tracking progress against strategic goals.
- Partner with marketing teams to coordinate campaigns, market initiatives, and business development activities.
- Increase visibility within TPA markets through networking, industry participation, and relationship-building activities.
- Coach and support sales and account management teams by sharing best practices and improving sales effectiveness.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive developments, and market opportunities to inform growth strategies.
- Promote a proactive, client-focused business development culture centered on identifying and closing opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, strategic sales, and relationship management, with the ability to influence senior decision-makers and operate effectively in a competitive market environment.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or client growth roles.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of industry trends and market dynamics.
- Experience developing and executing successful client acquisition and relationship expansion strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation abilities.
- Proven ability to build rapport, establish credibility, and collaborate with executives and stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently while contributing to a team environment.
- Experience within the PBM, pharmacy, healthcare, or TPA industry strongly preferred.
- Competitive compensation package with an anticipated salary of $140,000 annually plus commission opportunities.
