Music teachers design standards-aligned curriculum and authentic performance opportunities that engage scholars in performing, creating, responding to, and connecting with music across diverse genres, cultures, and traditions. Through purposeful rehearsal, feedback, reflection, and performance, scholars build technical skills while growing as confident musicians. Clear criteria for success, aligned to the Colorado Academic Standards, ensure rigor, transparency, and equitable access to high-quality music instruction. By celebrating diverse musical traditions and fostering a culture of practice, collaboration, and continuous growth, we empower every scholar to see themselves as a musician capable of creating, performing, and sharing meaningful musical experiences.
