Summary: We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and professional Legal Assistant to join our Workers' Compensation Department. The primary focus of this position is to provide administrative and legal support to the firm's workers' compensation attorneys and case managers, ensuring files are handled efficiently from intake through resolution. Responsibilities include managing case files, preparing legal documents, maintaining calendars and deadlines, communicating with clients, medical providers, and opposing counsel, and assisting with filings and case progression. The ideal candidate is highly organized, possesses excellent communication skills, and thrives in a fast-paced legal environment while providing exceptional client service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Schedule depositions, hearings, inspections, meetings, telephone conferences, deadlines
  • Prepare complaints, pleadings, discovery, and correspondence
  • Prepare documents for hearings, depositions, and trials
  • Manage firm and attorney calendars
  • Manage electronic filings – incoming and outgoing (ePortal, eService, DFS, JAWS, JACKS, CM/ECF)
  • Communicate with clients
  • Assist when needed

  • Bilingual (preferred)
  • Experience (a plus)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word) and Adobe (pdf)

Salary: $17-$20

Schedule: This position is ON-SITE in our Fort. Lauderdale office, with no remote/ hybrid schedule. Schedule is Monday – Friday, 8-hour shifts, 8:30am-5:30pm
