Logistics Coordinator in Bensalem, Pennsylvania at Hadco Metal Trading Co LLC

Hadco Metal Trading Co., LLC distributes and supplies metal products including aluminum, stainless steel, carbon, related alloys, and engineering grade plastics. Our products include plate, sheet, and extensive offerings of long products for general engineering, aerospace, and commercial markets.

Currently we are looking for an experienced Logistics Coordinator to assist with the logistics of our company’s transportation-related activities. This position is based in our Bensalem, PA facility, but will coordinate logistics activities with Hadco facilities nationwide. This is a full-time, on-site position in Bensalem, PA.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM

Role & Responsibilities:

• Work directly with third party transportation and logistics companies to manage activities related to dispatching, routing, on time delivery compliance, and KPIs.
• Plan, organize, and collaborate with nationwide staff members to ensure work is completed and consistent with the company's standards.
• Review, manage, and analyze invoicing for all locations minding fiscal compliance.
• Work with operations manager and sales team to ensure optimum delivery schedules.
• Communicate and follow-up vendors and customers to ensure delivery schedules meet customer’s needs.
• Comply with transportation-related policies, as well as safety rules, and government regulations.
• Promote safe work activities by conducting safety audits and attending company safety meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year’s experience in transportation, logistics, or similar industry.
• Organization and time management skills.
• Ability to collaborate and work well with multiple and diverse teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• CDL experience is a plus.
• Critical thinking skills and knowledge of analytics.
• Less than 10% travel required.
