Pathologists' Assistant in Memphis, Tennessee at Ladgov Corporation

Work will be performed according to laboratory operational needs. Shifts may include 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, 3:30 PM–12:00 AM, or 11:30 PM–8:00 AM.

The Pathologists' Assistant will support the Anatomic Pathology Section under the supervision of a pathologist by preparing and examining surgical specimens and supporting pathology operations.

• Bachelor's degree in clinical biology, microbiology, physiology, pre-medical studies, medical laboratory technology, chemistry, immunology, anatomy, or a related health-science field.
• Current ASCP Pathologists' Assistant certification.
• Knowledge of gross examination, tissue dissection, and specimen preparation procedures.
• Ability to perform assigned duties under the direction and supervision of a pathologist.

• Prepare, grossly describe, examine, and dissect human tissue surgical specimens.
• Assist with postmortem examinations and preparation of tissue for pathologist review.
• Prepare frozen sections and stained slides for intraoperative consultations.
• Support pathology training, specimen procurement, and anatomic pathology workflow.
