JFS are seeking an energetic and strategic leader to serve as the Director of Community and Donor Engagement. In this vital role, you will spearhead efforts to cultivate meaningful relationships with donors, volunteers, and community partners. What You'll Do

• Cultivate, solicit and steward a portfolio of 125-150 entry level donors with a passion for our mission and the potential to make contributions.
• Cultivate, steward and improve volunteer database portfolio. Manage both volunteers and program directors use of the database for accurate reporting, posting opportunities and recording volunteer hours.
• Engage with volunteers to develop personalized strategies to strengthen relationships, understand donor aspirations, and identify impactful giving opportunities.
• Work closely with Program Directors to identify prospects as well as developing and fulfilling their volunteer needs, including working collaboratively with program directors who use volunteers for events (ex-Woodfield Feeds the Hungry).
• Conduct monthly portfolio reviews and implement tailored engagement plans to maximize giving potential and develop strategies for increasing donor base at all levels.
• Work closely with the Director of Events to co-ordinate and facilitate events that incorporate volunteers across all departments.
• Responsible for a fundraising goal of $75,000

• Required Experience: 1-2 years working directly with volunteers and/or with direct community engagement
• Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree

Schedule & Work Environment

• Travel: 50%
• Schedule: Flexible hours during event season, flexible nights and Sunday hours. Other duties as assigned
• Physical Demands: Able to stand during Signature Events, flexibility to step in during volunteer events in pantry.
