Facilities & Maintenance Manager Job Description:

The Golden Hog is seeking a hands-on Facilities & Maintenance Manager to oversee the reliability, maintenance, and overall condition of our retail and food-service facilities, building systems, and commercial equipment. This role is responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting commercial refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and drainage systems, coordinating vendors and contractors, managing work orders and maintenance records, and supporting equipment installations, facility improvements, renovations, and new-store projects.

The ideal candidate is technically knowledgeable, highly organized, responsive, and comfortable taking ownership of facility and equipment needs from identification through resolution in a fast-paced grocery and food-service environment. This is a full-time position, generally scheduled five days per week with two days off based on operational needs, with flexibility to support urgent maintenance needs, vendor service calls, projects, and occasional nights, weekends, or holidays when necessary.

Facilities & Maintenance Manager Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of experience in facilities maintenance, maintenance management, building operations, or a comparable technical role preferred.
• Experience in grocery, food retail, restaurant, hospitality, food production, or another active commercial environment strongly preferred.
• Strong practical knowledge of commercial refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, drainage, general building maintenance, and food-service equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot facility and equipment issues, perform appropriate minor repairs, and determine when specialized vendors or licensed trades are required.
• Experience coordinating preventive maintenance, work orders, vendors, contractors, equipment records, and facility projects.
• Strong organization, follow-through, problem-solving, communication, and cost awareness.
• Comfortable using work-order, CMMS, asset-management, maintenance-tracking, or similar systems.
• Valid driver’s license required; ability to travel between assigned company locations.
• Flexibility to support urgent maintenance needs, vendor service calls, projects, and occasional nights, weekends, or holidays when necessary.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Relevant facilities, HVAC/refrigeration, electrical, safety, or trade certifications are a plus.
