Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift in Owasso, Oklahoma at ALLIANCE WORKFORCE MANAGEMENT INC

Alliance Workforce Management is hiring Maintenance Technicians to support a high-volume meat processing facility. This role is essential for keeping production equipment running safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.

The Maintenance Technician performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment upgrades across the facility. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, the ability to diagnose complex issues, and a commitment to maintaining safe, reliable operations.

• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on production machinery and facility systems.
• Inspect equipment, identify potential issues, and perform necessary adjustments or repairs.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems.
• Replace motors, control systems, defective parts, and other components as needed.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and performance records.
• Collaborate with production teams to resolve equipment malfunctions quickly.
• Assist with installation, commissioning, and upgrades of new or existing equipment.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
• Prepare reports on equipment performance and maintenance needs.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Serve as backup Refrigeration Technician when needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, troubleshooting, and repair techniques.
• Experience with industrial refrigeration systems (ammonia, glycol, Freon).
• Understanding of PLCs, frequency controls, DC devices, temperature controls, and transducers.
• Experience with high-voltage AC (480V, 220V, 120V) and low-voltage AC/DC systems.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and automated production equipment.
• Familiarity with meat processing safety and quality standards.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English; Spanish helpful but not required.

• Experience in food manufacturing or meat processing maintenance.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting capabilities.
• Ability to diagnose complex mechanical issues quickly.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement and equipment optimization.

Schedule & Work Environment

• Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (four 12-hour shifts). Three scheduled days off weekly + full weekend off every other week
• Cold, humid, and noisy production environment.
• Exposure to strong odors, varying temperatures, and fast-moving machinery.
• PPE required: hair/beard nets, rubber-soled shoes, smocks, hearing protection, hard hats.

• Ability to crawl, squat, kneel, twist, reach, and perform full-body movements during repairs.
• Ability to lift 70+ lbs unassisted.
• Frequent bending, climbing, and working in confined or elevated spaces.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods on wet or slippery concrete floors.
• Precise vision required for inspections, electrical color-code identification, and detailed repairs.
