We are actively seeking an experienced Maintenance Assistant to join and grow in the PPG organization.
The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized manufacturing environment across all company buildings. This position performs general housekeeping and facility support duties including, but not limited to cleaning restrooms, break rooms, offices, production support areas, and other common spaces.

- Perform daily housekeeping and sanitation duties
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, locker rooms, offices, conference rooms, hallways, and other common areas.
- Empty trash and recycling containers and ensure proper waste disposal practices are followed.
- Restock restroom and break room supplies including soap, paper towels, tissue, sanitizer, and related items.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors in accordance with facility standards.
- Maintain cleanliness around entrances, walkways, parking areas, and exterior common spaces as needed.
- Support manufacturing operations by maintaining orderly and hazard-free work environments.
- Identify and report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, spills, leaks, or damaged equipment to supervision.
- Assist with facility organization projects, minor maintenance support, and material movement as directed.
- Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and housekeeping standards.
- Support special cleaning projects during audits, customer visits, or facility events.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in proper working condition.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned by management.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or manufacturing facility experience required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and remain active throughout the shift.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality required.
- Ability and willingness to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machine shop noise, dust, oils, and varying temperatures
Compensation
- $18.00 per hour
