What you’ll do

Disassemble and clean parts for rebuild. Reassemble new or reconditioned parts.Use of jib cranes, fork trucks, and overhead cranes-all training provided.Bearing disassembly, cleaning, mounting, and assemblyTube bending Use of a torch Use of measuring devices, calipers, mics, feeler gaugesPerform field service jobs with steel mills. Routinely repair/maintain facility machinery, tools, and equipment.Blueprint reading-interpret drawings.Complete inspection forms and related paperwork Keep work area, tools, and equipment clean and orderly. Perform daily clean up, removal of trash, coolant, oil, scrap, chips, etcWork collaboratively in a Union environment.

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or Equivalent.Mechanic/Millwright experience in the Manufacturing Industry preferred but not required.3-5 years of mechanic-like experience preferred but not required.Good working knowledge of mechanical tools.Mathematics - knows basic shop math and other functions necessary for the job.Blueprint reading - interprets drawings preferred.Self-motivated to identify, analyze and independently work to find solutions to flow issues.Ability to learn and understand critical processes and operations in assigned areas.Must be able to show a high level of job-related documentation.Must have a valid driver's license.
