Content Designer, Contractor

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Content Designer, Contractor in the United States.

This role focuses on shaping clear, intuitive, and user-centered product content that improves how healthcare professionals interact with complex digital systems. You will design and refine UX writing, microcopy, and instructional content that simplifies workflows and enhances usability across multiple platforms. Working within a UX-driven environment, you will collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and product teams to develop content strategies and ensure consistency across the user experience. The position also involves exploring AI-assisted content creation and conversational design approaches to improve accessibility and engagement. You will contribute to structuring scalable content systems that support multiple personas and use cases. This is a contract role in a fast-paced, mission-driven health tech environment where clarity, empathy, and precision directly impact user outcomes.

Accountabilities:
  • Design and develop user-centered product content, including UI copy, microcopy, instructional text, and UX writing aligned with user needs and accessibility standards.
  • Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, and engineers throughout the product development lifecycle to ensure consistent and effective content experiences.
  • Develop and maintain content architecture that supports scalable, reusable, and multi-platform publishing.
  • Translate user research, data insights, and product requirements into clear content strategies and solutions.
  • Contribute to prototyping and content iteration within agile workflows, ensuring continuous improvement based on feedback and testing.
  • Apply conversational design principles to create simple, intuitive user interactions where applicable.
  • Leverage AI tools to support ideation, content exploration, and refinement of UX writing outputs.
  • Ensure all content meets organizational standards, usability goals, and compliance requirements.
Requirements:
  • Background in content design, UX writing, technical communication, journalism, English, or a related field.
  • Experience creating structured product content such as UI text, instructional documentation, or digital product messaging.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and their application in product environments.
  • Experience working in agile teams alongside UX, product, and engineering stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CCMS) and structured content workflows.
  • Exposure to conversational design and AI-assisted content creation tools or workflows.
  • Strong analytical thinking skills with the ability to interpret user needs and data-driven insights.
  • Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Figma, Jira, Paligo, Pendo, or similar platforms is a plus.
