This senior scientific leadership role sits at the intersection of quantitative pharmacology, modeling and simulation, and strategic drug development consulting. You will lead cross-functional teams delivering high-impact pharmacometrics insights that shape clinical development decisions across the pharmaceutical lifecycle. The role spans study design, model development, simulation strategy, and interpretation of complex PK/PD and exposure-response data. You will act as a trusted advisor to global biopharma clients, helping optimize development programs using advanced modeling approaches. In addition to client leadership, you will contribute to methodological innovation, team mentorship, and scientific excellence across projects. This position combines deep technical expertise with client-facing strategy and thought leadership in a highly specialized scientific environment.
- Lead and manage cross-functional project teams to deliver pharmacometrics and modeling & simulation solutions aligned with client drug development objectives.
- Serve as the primary scientific and strategic point of contact for clients, advising on study design, model development, and simulation strategies.
- Develop, evaluate, and apply advanced population PK, PK/PD, and exposure-response models using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
- Design pharmacometric analysis plans and data requirements aligned with regulatory expectations and global submission standards.
- Author high-quality scientific reports, regulatory documents, and client presentations communicating complex modeling outcomes.
- Mentor and support junior scientists while contributing to team development, training initiatives, and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to the development of internal methodologies, best practices, and consulting frameworks.
- Support business development activities including proposal development, scopes of work, and scientific positioning when needed.
- 12+ years of experience in population PK and PK/PD modeling within pharmacometrics or clinical pharmacology environments.
- Strong proficiency with modeling tools such as NONMEM, Monolix, and R for quantitative analysis and simulation.
- Advanced understanding of pharmacometrics applications in drug development and regulatory submissions.
- Proven ability to design, execute, and interpret complex modeling and simulation studies.
- Strong communication skills with experience delivering technical presentations and scientific reports to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, including mentoring scientists and leading cross-functional project teams.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to scientific rigor and detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, work independently, and contribute to high-stakes client engagements.
- Advanced degree (Master’s required; PhD preferred) in pharmacometrics, pharmacology, statistics, engineering, or related field.
- Competitive annual salary range of $185,000–$215,000 depending on experience.
