NURSING ASSIST, MEDSURG 4 in POMONA, California at Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center

Position Summary: Under general supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse, assists in providing direct and indirect patient care to hospital patients on a general or specialized nursing care unit by performing a variety of non-professional nursing duties. The Nursing Assistant will be aware of the special needs of specific age groups assigned to the unit. May perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications: High School Graduate or equivalent. BLS. Ability to read and write English; comprehend medical terminology; general office computer or hospital related experience; ability to operate various office equipment, i.e. fax, copier, multi-line phone. Previous experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant in an acute hospital and/or long term care facility a plus.

[Preferred Qualifications] Certification as a Nursing Assistant. Previous experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant in an acute hospital and/or long term care facility.

Salary range: $25.34 - $35.66 hourly. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

SALARY RANGE INCLUDES NIGHT SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL.
