Job Description:
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor will drive continuous improvement of the maintenance function in support of our Quality Management System and insure that maintenance jobs are completed in a timely, safe and responsible manner.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Insure compliance with government and safety regulations and company safe working practices
- Effectively lead and direct 10+ Maintenance Technicians
- Monitor, measure and improve predictive and preventative maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime
- Evaluate and develop core competencies of Maintenance staff
- Monitor, analyze and report on key performance metrics for department
- Manage projects utilizing internal and third party resources and reports on status to milestones
- Plans and directs activities related to design, modification and maintenance of equipment
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Senior Maintenance Tech knowledge and experience in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated understanding of maintenance productivity and budget metrics
- Strong troubleshooting ability
- Proven project management skills and experience
- Good organizational skills, analytical ability, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to relate to all levels of the organization
- Ability to balance use of internal and 3rd party resources to accomplish objectives
- Computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office and other enterprise software for purchasing and Computerized Maintenance Management System
- Previous experience with heavy industrial plant maintenance including hydraulics, pumps, electrical and PLC’s strongly preferred
Educational/Training/ Experience:
- High School diploma or GED required
- Maintenance knowledge and related experience
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds on a repetitive basis
- Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
- Ability to participate in respiratory management program
