Dental Assistant in Baltimore, Maryland at Chase Brexton Health Care

JOB SUMMARY:
Perform basic chair side assisting duties, instrument and equipment maintenance, radiographic proficiency and dental supply inventory.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Patient Focus
• Chair side Assisting Duties
• Greets and seats patients
• Prepares room for treatment
• Assists Dentists
• Cleans room after treatment to prepare for next patient

Dental and Mental Health
• Take any appropriate radiograph as requested.
• Keeps instruments cleaned and maintained
• Keep dental supplies correct and on hand
• Maintain stock of dental supplies

Checking, Examining, & Recording
• Keeps maintenance log
• Maintain up to date record of supply ordering

• Perform other duties as assigned

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Graduation for a Dental Assistant Program required
• Maryland Dental Radiation Technology Certificate required
• Expanded Functional Certificate preferred
• Certification in Basic Dental Assisting required
• Two years minimum experience required
