About the Role:
The Graduate Programs Coordinator (GPC) assists, coordinates, and advises graduate students in the School of Nursing and Health Sciences (SONHS). In addition, the coordinator collaborates with faculty and relevant campus and community partners. They ensure their assigned graduate programs (4) operate successfully, including general administrative support and overseeing creation and continual maintenance of documentation for all programs. The coordinator serves as the point of contact for identified clinical agencies and will assist program directors and the dean with ongoing initiation of strategic initiatives and generation of program specific data for college, accreditation, and exterior campus partners.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree plus one year’s experience in professional setting, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office products
- Ability to collect and arrange data into readable reporting formats
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
Responsibilities:
Graduate Program Administration
- Provide administrative support for all SONHS graduate programs.
- Consult with program directors on individualized graduate program processes and procedures.
- Communicate updates to website, graduate program catalogs, faculty information, etc. to the assistant dean, registrar, marketing, and all other relevant parties.
- Document program meeting agendas and minutes, outcomes, and follow-ups. Document program meetings.
- Review and edit program documents.
- Build multiple CANVAS courses in collaboration with faculty.
Graduate SONHS Student Support
- Update current student information including but not limited to drug screen, resume, licensure, and plans of study.
- Supervise collection of faculty and student regalia ordering and returns.
- Advise identified students from inquiry to assignment of faculty advisors. Organize applicant data and assist with admission logistics. Track admission standing of students.
- Advise students regarding licensure & certification.
- Field student inquiries and inform potential students of program requirements and expectations.
- Coordinate with graduate campus committee including organization of commencement events and regalia.
Clinical Sites and Accreditation
- Assemble and develop student and program information for accreditation and other reports.
- Closely follow accreditation due dates and assist with assembling documentation for self-study reports.
- Assist clinical coordinators with tracking and uploading of clinical credentialing requirements.
- Send and track Memorandum of Understandings (MOUs) to clinical site preceptors.
