This role sits at the forefront of global research on data collaboration, data exchange, and monetization ecosystems, shaping how enterprises and technology providers understand the evolving value of data. You will analyze market dynamics across cloud platforms, data brokers, clean room technologies, and emerging data marketplace models, translating complex industry shifts into actionable intelligence. The position blends deep analytical research with strategic advisory, helping organizations and executives navigate data-driven transformation. You will also contribute to market sizing, forecasting, and competitive intelligence that inform both vendor strategy and enterprise adoption. Acting as a trusted subject matter expert, you will engage directly with senior leaders and clients across industries. This is a high-impact research leadership role within a globally recognized analyst environment focused on technology innovation and market influence.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead research and analysis across the data collaboration and monetization ecosystem, including cloud providers, data brokers, marketplaces, clean room vendors, and emerging data exchange platforms.
  • Evaluate monetization models such as licensing, syndication, Data-as-a-Service (DaaS), API-based data products, and revenue-sharing frameworks, identifying success factors and market differentiators.
  • Conduct market sizing, segmentation, forecasting, and competitive analysis to assess vendor positioning and enterprise demand trends.
  • Develop and publish insights on market drivers, adoption patterns, and the business value impact of data collaboration technologies.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in client engagements, including executive advisory sessions, inquiry calls, and presentations to senior IT and business leaders.
  • Collaborate with sales and internal teams to identify and support revenue opportunities through syndicated research and custom advisory services.
  • Contribute to thought leadership on AI, digital transformation, and data-driven business models, linking technology evolution to enterprise outcomes.
  • Respond to client inquiries with timely, data-driven insights and contribute to syndicated research reports and cross-practice initiatives.
  • Work with global analyst teams to ensure consistency, rigor, and depth across research outputs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in a relevant field such as business, economics, computer science, or information systems.
  • 10+ years of experience in market research, advisory, consulting, or industry analysis focused on data management, data platforms, or technology markets.
  • Strong understanding of the data collaboration and monetization ecosystem, including vendors, platforms, and enterprise use cases.
  • Experience analyzing complex datasets, survey results, and financial reports to produce clear, actionable insights.
  • Ability to translate technical and market trends into strategic recommendations for both enterprise and vendor audiences.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise software, data platforms, and technology service business models.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to executive-level stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 25–30% for client meetings and industry engagements.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify market opportunities and competitive dynamics.
