Surgery Center West, Stillwater Medical's ambulatory surgery center, has recently expanded. We need a Registered Nurse RN to join our team and care for our patients.

Here's the details:

Full-time days
-
Monday - Friday, hours vary
-
40 hours per week
-
On call 24/7 for one week every 5 weeks and off the following next week

JOB SUMMARY:
The Registered Nurse is that professional who is directly responsible for care of the patient during endoscopy and indirectly responsible through coordination and information sharing of both pre- and post-procedure care. The nurse will assist the physician during the procedure. A clinically competent licensed nurse that delivers nursing care to patients through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Effectively interacts with patient, significant others, and other health team members, while maintaining standards of professional nursing for the age groups served.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Graduated from a state accredited school of nursing.

Licensed to practice in the state of Oklahoma.

Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Able to take call if a full-time employee per department needs
-
Current CPR card or completion within 30 days of employment.
-
Current ACLS certification or completion within 6 months of employment.
-
Current PALS certification or completion within 6 months of employment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
-
Must have strength and stamina for prolonged walking, standing, and dealing with stressful situations.
-
Demonstrate adequate vision or correctable with glasses, to read and write.
-
Able to hear, or correctable with hearing devices, and able to talk to converse with others in person and over the phone.
-
Able to hear, see, and feel to accurately assess, monitor, and administer care.
-
Able to frequently lift at least 60 lbs., reach, pull, push, bend, stoop, and kneel.
-
Possesses fine motor skills and hand/eye coordination to give care (i.e.: insert catheters, start IV’s, administer medications, and handle instruments).
