Job Description
Summary:
Assists the Production Manger with overall shop operations planning and organizes/coordinates daily operations which include cost control and forecasting, manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, materials, quality assurance/control, human resources and information systems. Makes recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations. Implements operational policies and procedures. Supervises and directs operations within assigned discipline or area. Ensures assigned fabrication operations and subcontractors’ performance are following specifications and within schedules and budgets. Performs general functions inherent in all fabrication supervisory positions.
Responsibilities:
- Activelyparticipatein development of a fabricationshopHSSE culture that makes safety and environmental awareness a natural part of the job.
- Plan daily production activities at worksite, including scheduling of workers, delivery of equipment and materials, and progress of the project.
- Minimize potential HR issues by day-to-day contact with shop personnel.
- Assemble a competent team within the respectivediscipline.
- Coordinates daily production resources based on priority project demands andsequencing
- Coordinatesdirectworkflowactivitieswithengineering, material management, shopfabricationandqualityto ensurerequired productivity levels through planning/collaboration with department managers andsupervision
- Performs work in conformance with plans, specifications, schedules, and cost control estimates.
- Provideswork assignments with craft supervisors and gives instructionrelativeto the methods and procedures to be usedto achieve dailytarget
- Maintains quality at a level comparable to industrystandards
- Assistsoperators with troubleshooting in both functionality and quality of equipment andproduct
- Ensuresdirect reportsreceive progressive training to enable them to assumeadditionalresponsibilities.
- Manages skilled technicalpersonnel
- Develops continuous improvement maintenance and operational procedures to ensure reliable functionality of all systemcomponents
- Manages spare parts and consumableinventories
Education and Experience:
- Requires a minimum high school diploma orits equivalentwith relevant experience. PreferBachelor’s degree in engineeringwith advanced technology study. Robotics applications and theoriespreferred
- Typicallyhas5-7 years of experience in the pipe fabrication field or in a related area.
- Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices,proceduresand fabrication codes related to clientspecifications
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan andaccomplishgoals.
- Performs a variety of complicatedtasks
- Proficient in manycomputerrelated operating systems
- Fluency in Korean, written and verbal, aplus
- Typically reports tothe Automation Production Manager
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear,seeandto performrepetitive motions.
- Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of forcefrequentlyor constantlyto lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
