This role is a key leadership position within a growing finance organization focused on strengthening credit and accounts receivable operations across multiple industrial safety businesses. The Credit & Collections Manager will oversee the full order-to-cash cycle, ensuring efficient cash flow management, reduced delinquency, and accurate financial reporting. This position combines strategic oversight with hands-on operational leadership, including team management and process optimization. You will play a critical role in modernizing collections processes through automation tools and ERP enhancements. The role also involves close collaboration with Sales, Customer Service, and Finance teams to resolve payment issues while preserving strong customer relationships. Operating in a fast-paced, acquisition-driven environment, this leader will help shape scalable credit policies and drive continuous improvement across global operations.

Accountabilities:

The Credit & Collections Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing the end-to-end accounts receivable and collections function, ensuring strong cash flow performance and operational efficiency across the business.

  • Oversee the full credit, collections, cash application, and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal policies
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of credit and collections professionals, driving performance, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Develop and execute collection strategies to reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and improve working capital performance
  • Manage customer credit risk assessments, approve credit limits, and monitor high-risk accounts and delinquency trends
  • Resolve escalated disputes and payment issues in collaboration with Sales and Customer Service teams while maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Drive implementation and optimization of AR automation tools and ERP system enhancements to improve efficiency and reduce manual work
  • Support month-end close activities, including AR reconciliations, reporting, and reserve analysis for bad debt and adjustments
  • Prepare executive-level reporting on AR performance, cash flow forecasts, and key collection metrics
Requirements:

This role requires a strong background in credit, collections, and financial operations, ideally within a multi-entity or manufacturing environment, combined with proven leadership experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in credit and collections, including at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge of accounts receivable processes, credit risk analysis, and order-to-cash workflows
  • Experience with AR automation tools and ERP systems (FIS GETPAID strongly preferred; Infor XA or Syteline a plus)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, set performance expectations, and drive accountability
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and financial reporting skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present insights to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
