Senior Principal Software Architect

This is a high-impact technical leadership role focused on designing and scaling next-generation agentic AI platforms that power personalized customer experiences across digital journeys. You will shape the architecture behind AI systems that influence conversion, engagement, and long-term customer value at enterprise scale. The role combines deep hands-on engineering with strategic platform design, requiring you to define reusable foundations that enable multiple teams to build and deploy AI-driven capabilities independently. You will work across multimodal data, orchestration systems, and distributed cloud infrastructure to deliver highly scalable, production-grade AI services. This is a builder-leader position where you will actively prototype, design, and code while also setting architectural direction across the organization. The environment is fast-paced, innovation-driven, and centered on applying agentic AI to real business outcomes. Your work will directly shape the evolution of AI-first customer experiences at scale.
Accountabilities:- Architect and develop scalable agentic AI platforms that enable autonomous, multi-step reasoning systems across customer journeys
- Design and implement multi-agent systems capable of planning, reasoning, and executing actions across integrated tools and services
- Build reusable AI platform capabilities that support multiple teams and prevent siloed or one-off solutions
- Define and lead end-to-end AI architecture across ecommerce, personalization, marketing, and lifecycle engagement systems
- Develop foundational infrastructure including orchestration systems, scalable inference pipelines, and evaluation frameworks for model quality, safety, and performance
- Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of AI systems in production environments at large scale
- Actively contribute to hands-on development, prototyping, debugging, and design reviews for critical systems
- Define and track AI and business success metrics such as latency, cost efficiency, conversion, engagement, and revenue impact
- Partner with Product, UX, and Data teams to translate AI capabilities into measurable customer and business outcomes
- Lead experimentation and A/B testing initiatives to validate AI-driven features and optimize performance
- Influence architectural decisions across multiple engineering domains and mentor senior engineers to elevate technical standards
- Drive adoption of agentic AI practices and AI-first engineering approaches across the organization
- 12+ years of software engineering experience with strong expertise in distributed systems and large-scale architectures
- Proven track record of designing and delivering high-impact, production-grade systems at enterprise scale
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-organizational technical strategy and influence architecture across multiple teams
- Strong hands-on coding and system design skills with continued technical involvement in production systems
- Experience working with cloud-based, highly available, and performance-critical systems
- Strong ability to translate advanced technical capabilities into measurable business impact
- Deep experience in AI/ML systems, including LLMs, retrieval systems, and agent-based frameworks
- Familiarity with multi-agent architectures, orchestration systems, and AI evaluation methodologies preferred
- Experience building 0→1 platforms or AI-native products in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
- Background in consumer-facing platforms or ecommerce systems is a strong advantage
- Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills with ability to guide senior technical teams
- Ability to operate effectively in a highly collaborative, innovation-driven environment
- Competitive compensation package with base salary aligned to experience and location (up to approximately $240K depending on region)
