Job Description
Are you a strategic legal leader who thrives at the intersection of healthcare operations, risk management, and corporate strategy?
We’re seeking an Assistant General Counsel to provide trusted legal guidance across day-to-day healthcare operations, risk management, employee/labor law, and complex commercial transactions. This role is a key advisor to leadership—helping the organization navigate risk, protect the business, and support sustainable growth in a highly regulated environment.
What You’ll Do
- Draft, review, negotiate, and interpret a wide range of agreements, including service contracts, physician agreements, leases, confidentiality agreements, consultant contracts, and corporate documents.
- Provide legal counsel and practical guidance to leaders and teams across the organization on legal, employment/labor, business, operational, and contractual matters.
- Develop and maintain contract templates and standardized processes to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Research, interpret, and advise on statutory and case law, administrative rules, and regulatory requirements impacting healthcare operations.
- Assess and advise on third-party disputes and potential risk exposure, partnering with leadership on mitigation strategies.
- Assist with administrative proceedings, regulatory inquiries, audits, and information requests, representing the organization as needed.
- Review and advise on government solicitations (e.g., RFPs), identifying legal risk, ensuring compliance, and supporting bid strategy development.
What We’re Looking For
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school (required)
Experience
- Ten (10) years of legal experience (required)
- Healthcare industry experience (preferred)
Licenses/Certifications
- Active license to practice law in the state of employment (required)
